Leonidion
Leonidion is one of the oldest naval cities in Greece.
It is the capital of Kynouria province and the last city of the Southeastern Arcadia. It is 95km (60 miles) from Tripoli and has a population of 3.500 residents. The center of the city is located 4km from the sea on the edge of a fertile valley with citrus and olive trees.

The valley of Leonidion in ancient times was known as the “Garden of Dionysus” a fact that connects the worship of god Dionysus with the cultivation of vineyards. The new town was founded in 1826, after the destruction of the city of Prastos by the Ottoman empire.
